About

Forestville Woodworking

Owners’ mission statement

The company was established in 1996 in New York City while the founder, Jeffrey Scheinblum, was completing a master’s degree in fine arts at Hunter College. The first shop was located on 28th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. The shop relocated to Connecticut in 1999 upon Jeff’s engagement to wife, Maureen. In Manhattan, the owner gained expertise as a professional woodworker and craftsman working on a variety of unique projects. After relocating, the business expanded from a furniture and woodworking shop into a contracting and renovation company specializing in home remodeling, particularly kitchens and bathrooms. The company also undertakes specialized carpentry projects such as custom closets, vanities, built-ins, and fireplace surrounds. Superior custom design and customer service are prioritized, with the ability to incorporate any style or specific look into the overall design.
